Une fluoration régulière (tous les 6 mois) diminue significativement le risque de développement de la carie dentaire, à tout âge. Lorsque les enfants commencent à brosser leurs dents seuls, la fluoration est un bon moyen de protéger leurs dents jusqu'au perfectionnement de leur technique. Si votre enfant a déjà eu des caries, il a un plus grand risque d'en avoir à nouveau, le vernis fluoré permet de rendre ses dents plus résistantes.

 

Dans le cas d'apparition de caries débutantes, l'application de vernis fluoré, accompagnée d'un brossage efficace par le patient, permet l'arrêt de l'évolution de la carie et sa reminéralisation. Il s'agit d'un traitement non invasif, peu couteux et sans douleur.

Nous recommandons ce traitement lors des visites préventives.
